Hey there,
I cannot believe I haven't posted in a year. All of last year I taught Copic Classes at a Scrapbook Store over an hour from my house and I just let everything else go. It got to be toooo much and not enough people interested so I stopped.
I just attended the Intermediate Certification class in St Louis last week and it has gotten me psyched again about coloring. I really like that there is more to learn with my Copics. So I am practicing my shadows and shading. Here is an image I colored after class to practice really using contrast on faces.
Of course, most images we color aren't big enough to get so many colors on but it is fun to play around with anyway.
I did her face all over with E000 and then shaded a little with E00. On the right side of her face I wanted it to be in deep shadow, so I used E11, E13, E15 and E04. I then added some BV00 around her face curve and above her eye. I also blended out some Y000 & Y00 around the nose area.
