Good Morning Everyone, Just a quick post to show some
of my most recent cards. This one is done in Copics. On
her hat I used my Blender pen to take some of the black
off after I colored it to get a worn look.
This is a digi stamp image from http://charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/.
The orange BG paper is from Martha Stewarts Bandana Paper Pad.
Aren't these Shy Bears from
SusanandFriends Stamp Line too cute? . This one is done
in Prismacolor pencils and OMS.
I did this Shy Bear in Copics. I try to leave
the sentiments off until I know what I'm going
to use them for.
Have any of you ever had any success selling
your cards? I tried Etsy. Not a single one sold.
I've tried a personal website and had to cancel
it cause it was costing more than I brought in
which was NOTHING!
Would love your feedback on these cards,
maybe what I'm doing that could be improved,
ideas about selling cards?????
See ya later! Prismadonna (Lisa)

Catching up on my Scrapbooking
Hey Everybody,
I've been working so much on my card techniques, I let my scrapbooking get behind. I keep a running scrapbook for each year. I add to it as the year goes on. It has worked out so that I use 1 scrapbook per year of our life. I am in the middle of scrapping a trip we took last September to the UP-Upper Penninsula. It is really beautiful up there. I was so surprised by how much prettier the flowers are. I guess due to their mild and wetter climate. Here in Central Illinois everything get's so dry and dies out in late summer. Anyway, Here are a few pages. Each page is a 2 page matching spread, but I only took pics of one in some cases.
This first & second one are the start of this section in my SB for this trip.
In this one I used a little Flip Book insert to put some goodies my husband collected for me from the local woods up there. You could also use these to do a flip book of pictures when you have too many for one page and yet they all go together on that page.
I like to keep my pages more on the simple side. I've never understood doing one picture on a page and then adding tons of other elements. Yes, if you're going to frame it for the wall. But if I did my scrapbook that way, I wouldn't have many actually pictures in it. I'm all about pictures.
I started using my Cricut Cartridge "Camping" and it is really simple diecuts. Not much layering. I like that too.
I usually try to mimic something in my picture. In this one we were above all the trees. So, I simply used a branch.

Still making changes to my New Blog
Hey Everybody,
A person sure can spend a lot of time getting their blogs just the way they want them. I just created my new header picture. I'm getting really good at using Photoshop with all this practice on changing pictures. This is actually 2 Digi Stamps layed ontop of each other. They're from a Digi Co in the UK- www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk. They have some awesome digi stamps to choose from. I'm really partial to fashion and they have a lot.

Organization
Today I thought I would share with you what I recently did to organize all my stamps. Before I did this, I had three drawers full of stamps on wooden blocks, in cellophane packs, et. You know the drill. I saw this idea on someones website and WOW! It's awesome! I removed all rubber stamps from the wooden blocks- they mostly peal right off. If not, heat in micro for 12-15 sec and then peal off. I then mounted them on Thin clingfoam and cut around them (that was the hardest part). I purchased over 100 Old Style CD Cases (not slim) at Wal-Mart-10packs for 4.98 and popped out the insert (easy). I took the time to stamp each one on a piece of fitted paper and then when I was all done, I spent the next 2 months of evenings coloring them all in. That part is because I'm anal and besides it looks great. Now, they all fit in one drawer and I grouped together by type. ie: wedding stamps, flowers, sentiments, et. It is so easy to flip thru them and see what I've got. Plus, because I spent so much intimate time with them, I now know what I've got. I highly recommend this to everyone. It works great for acrylics too. And you will be surprised how many stamps you can fit into one CD case. I only had 2 sets that I had to split into two cases. Hope this motivates you to do some organizing too!

Umbrella Digi Stamp
I had colored quite a few stamps over the last couple of days, and just spent a couple of hours finishing them into cards. This is also a digi stamp from 'Charmed Cards' in the UK. Done in Copics and Pebbles Chalks. I try to use up whole pieces of Patterend CS so you'll see several cards with the same paper. I just don't have room for a million pieces of scrap paper. I tend to leave the cards blank as far as sentiments go until I know what I'm going to use the card for. Then I add it. I'll put a little bit of matching stuff on the inside of the card ready for a stamped saying.
Sweet Little Digi Stamp
This was a Digital Stamp I purchased from the UK website called 'Charmed Cards'. They have some really great Stamps. I printed it on Papertrey Ink CS and it is done in Copics and Chalk for background color.
Hey Everybody-I'm Here!
2/17/10 I'm new to the blogging. I had created a website, but why pay for a website when you can blog for free. It will take me a while to get everything set up correctly..... I am a cardmaker & scrapbooker and will be sharing my work here. I'm playing around with Digi Stamps right now. Trying to find the exact right combination of paper and ink to use for this. Having to print Digi Stamps with Inkjet Ink is not ideal as on some papers, it smears when you use Copics. I just printed some using Gina K Luxury CS and I'm letting it 'cure'. I'll let you know how it goes.
