Herberts In Love-Turtle

Hey Everybody,

Wow is it ever hard to keep up with a blog and teach Copic classes at the same time. I can't post the stuff I'm using in class and since most of my time is spent coloring for class.........So, I finally had a chance to color something for pleasure only. Here is a really cute Digi Image from called "Herberts in Love".

Him: I colored his shell in BG93, 96 & 99. His belly is E81 & E87. His skin is W3,5 & 7.

For Her: Shell is YG93, 95 & 97. Belly is also E81 & E87. Her skin is one shade lighter all over. W1,3 & 5. I then went very lightly over both of the skin with YG91 to give it a greenish hue.

Her clothing & shoes & ribbon and the hearts are in RV00, RV17 & RV19.

The table cloth is Y32 & 35. Stumps: E53,25,29 & 35. Grass: YG91, 93, 67 & 17.

Hope you like it. I'm off to check out some of my favorite blogs and see what I've been missing.

Coloring Book Digi's

Hey Everybody,

Hope you're all doing well. I've been doing a little coloring just for me and thought I would post the cards. I have a stack of coloring books that I used to color with my Prismacolor Pencils. But of course you can't use your copics on them. So.....I copied some of the pictures onto CS so that I could use my Copics. I love do FairyTale type images. These were a lot of fun.

1st Image- I used C5-7&9 on her hair. Then added some BV04 for bluish/purple highlights.

Her dress is done in YG00-01-03&05. The skirt is also B41 & B45.1s

#2 image is from a Barbie Book. This is a dress she tried on for a fashion show.

It's done in BG000, BG01, BG05 & BG07.

Image#3- Prince Charming

His & Her Hair- E18, E19, E99 & YR23

Her Dress: R02, R05 & R08. Over top of that I used R83, R85 & R89. I wanted a specific color that S/U has in their CS line and this is the only way I could get it.

His Suit- Again a specific color. Jacket B91/93&95 with T3 over it.

Pants- B95/97/99 with T6 over it.

Hair- E53,/25/29

Skin- E0000/01/YR00 & R000 blush

Crown & Lip & Ribbons- Rv66/69

Dress- YG91/93/95/99

Flowers-Too many to list

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Hey Everybody,
It's been so long since I've been able to just sit down and make a card for my personal use. Everything I do right now is for the classes I'm teaching. But tomorrow is our 18th Anniversary and of course I had to make something special for my husband. I thought I'd share it with you.

This is an image from: called "Pirate Penny"

I just love doing fashionistas.

Colors Used as follows:
Sand- E53-31-33-37-57-77
Skulls- E40-41-42-43-44
Gun- C3-5-7-9 & barrel E21-23-25-27
Sword- C0-2-3-4-5
Trunk- E23-25-27 & Brass E81-87
Skin- E11-13-15-R21
Hair- E30-31-33-35
Eyes- YG11-17
Boots- 100, C9 & C1 on buckles
Feather- RV99-95-91
Hat- 100, C10-9-7-5
Pants- YG99-97-95-93
Shirt- RV99,95-93-91

I colored some small crystals with various Copics to mimic jewels. I also put dots of Liquid Pearls in White Opal (which I've decided I do not like this stuff as it is impossible to get the dots rounded-Viva Decor works better).

I really really enjoyed coloring this image.

New Copic Swatch Book Cover Image by Tiffany Doodles

I do have something to show you. Tiffany Doodles released these new digi's of Copic Markers and I thought what a perfect thing to put on the front of my newly revamped Copic Swatchbook. Because the image is exactly the storage system I actually use. It's from Storage3Solutions. Really reasonably priced and all of my markers plus Spicas fit in it. I use my book so much with my classes that my original scrapbook album started falling apart. So I switched it to a 3 ring binder that had clear acetate over the whole thing. I then chose a piece of printed CS that I really like and cut it to slide down in the front, side and back covers. I colored the TD image and matted it and put it on the front and slid it down behind the cover.

It looks really cute. Thanks Tiff.

Hey Everybody!

Hope you are all doing good. It's so hard to find the time to keep up with everything. Blogs, Facebook, artwork + all the other everyday things in life.

I taught 2 more classes last Saturday. One on "Skin, Hair & Eyes" and another on "Shadows & Shading". It is awesome to be able to help people learn to like their Copic Markers.

I can't wait until the newest colors are available. Yeah! On the 12th I will teach a class on "Wood, Bark & Fencing".

I learned a new really really cool way to color backgrounds around your images. It is a kind of watercolor effect. I'm not sure which class I'm going to put it with, but maybe the Fashion Class. It is my new favorite thing to do right now with my markers.

Okay, well if any of you ladies that came to the last classes have any questions, please feel free to email me. Or even send me a pic of your work and I will try to help you any way I can.

2011 Updated Copic Hand Color Chart

I wanted to post a copy of the 'Copic Hand Color Chart' that includes all the new colors being released next month and all the AtYou Spica Pens too. Let me know if you find any errors on this copy. I checked it very closely and am pretty sure it's good to go. Also, if anyone needs it in an Excel file format that you can manipulate yourself, just email me and I'll gladly forward you the file. I know how hard it can be to get one that works just right for you.

I hope you find this useful. I figure if I needed it, some of you will to.
